Specification
This section describes product passports and conformity credentials that are relevant for the critical raw materials sector and that are extensions of the United Nations Transparency Protocol (UNTP) digital product passports and conformity credentials.
Conceptual Mapping
The following table provides a comprehensive overview of all UNCRMTP concepts and their relationship to UNTP specifications. Each row shows how a UNCRMTP concept maps to its corresponding UNTP counterpart, the type of alignment (Aligned, Extended, or Profile), and specific notes about the implementation approach.
| UNCRMTP Concept | UNTP Concept | Alignment | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Copper Passport | DPP | Extended | Commodity-specific extension for copper products |
| The Copper Mark | DCC | Profile | Provides |
| Copper Vocabularies | UNTP Vocabularies | Extended | Extends UNTP vocabularies with copper-specific terms and codes |
Notes
- Concepts marked as aligned can be implemented directly using UNTP's existing schema and semantics.
- Concepts marked as extensions represent areas where UNCRMTP introduces new structures or workflows to address traceability and assurance gaps specific to the critical raw materials industry.
- Concepts marked as profiles use the exact UNTP structure but apply specific constraints regarding identifier schemes and industry vocabularies for critical raw materials.
- This mapping will be updated as both UNTP and UNCRMTP specifications evolve.
