Digital Facility Records

Digital Facility Records (DFR) in the UNTTP Textiles Extension are implemented as profiles of the UNTP Digital Facility Record specification. Implementers should familiarise themselves with the core UNTP DFR specification before implementing Textiles Extension facility records.

Digital Facility Records enable supply chain actors to publish discoverable information about facilities involved in textile production and processing, including:

  • Facility identity and location
  • Facility capabilities and processes
  • Certifications and compliance status
  • Environmental and social performance data

Logical Model

The logical model for Textiles Extension Digital Facility Records will be documented here as the extension is developed. This will define:

  • Textile-specific facility attributes and metadata
  • Relationships to other UNTP objects (DIA, DPP, DTE, DCC)
  • Facility type classifications specific to textile supply chains

Profile Rules

Profile-specific rules and constraints for Textiles Extension Digital Facility Records will be documented here as profiles are developed. These rules will define:

  • Required and optional facility attributes
  • Textile-specific facility types and classifications
  • Validation requirements
  • Extension points for scheme-specific requirements

Digital Cotton Facility Record

The Digital Cotton Facility Record is a single extension schema that covers all cotton value chain facilities, differentiated by ISIC Rev.4 classification codes:

For detailed implementation guidance, see the Digital Cotton Facility Record Implementation Guide.

Technical Artifacts

Technical artifacts for Textiles Extension Digital Facility Records, including JSON schemas and validation tools, will be listed here as they become available.

Testing Your Implementation

After implementing Digital Facility Records, validate them using the Testing section to ensure they pass Tier 1 (technical) and Tier 2 (semantic) validation. The testing section provides guidance on what to test for DFR implementations and how to use validation tools.
