Digital Identity Anchor
The UNTTP Textiles Extension uses the UNTP Digital Identity Anchor (DIA) specification without modification. Digital Identity Anchors provide a standardized way to represent and verify the identity of organizations, facilities, and other entities in textile supply chains.
For complete technical details and implementation guidance, refer to the UNTP Digital Identity Anchor specification.
Textiles Extension implementers should use Digital Identity Anchors to:
- Establish verifiable identities for supply chain actors (producers, processors, manufacturers, brands)
- Link facility records and product passports to verified organizational identities
- Enable trust relationships between actors in the supply chain
- Support identity resolution through the Identity Resolver specification
Guidance specific to textile supply chain identity management will be developed as the extension evolves through working groups and pilot programs.
